"The series of 'Teach on the Beach' books is a truly inspirational resource, filled with outstanding outdoor learning ideas for so many different subjects. Using these activities in any outdoor context brings such excitement to pupils and really reinforces the skills and concepts they are learning - as well as being great fun in the process! They have captivated even the hardest-to-reach pupils and are also a wonderful way of developing teamwork skills. Everything is so clear and so well laid out, always providing well-thought-out, safe and enjoyable activities of the highest quality! I would recommend them to any school or teacher, regardless of confidence or experience. The benefits of outdoor learning are well documented, but using Taff's ideas and plans really does bring the 'wow!' factor to any class!"

We provide training to help teachers gain the necessary skills and knowledge to teach confidently and effectively outside the classroom. We demonstrate how most aspects of the curriculum can be enriched and extended by teaching and learning outdoors, even with limited facilities and resources. We hope to reignite a sense of curiosity, discovery, and amazement, and a lifelong love of learning that will engage, inspire, and motivate teachers and pupils alike. We offer a wide range of courses, including the highly regarded 1-day Creative Outdoor Learning Award (COLA) which covers many of the key elements of Forest School training (fires/cooking, shelters etc.), but much more besides, and is significantly more relevant, valuable, and affordable for schools.
We provide a wide range of outdoor learning activities that are designed to develop character (e.g. resilience), improve teamwork (e.g. leadership and communication skills), and encourage initiative (e.g. problem solving skills). Activities are linked closely to the curriculum, and they help students to gain a deeper understanding of subjects by seeing them in context and realising their practical application.
We provide exciting and enjoyable outdoor learning activities that help to bring curriculum subjects (e.g. Maths or Science) and topics (e.g. the Stone Age or the British Isles) to life, using your own school grounds. We help you to devise and deliver outdoor activities that will enrich, extend, and enhance the curriculum, and encourage deep and memorable learning.
We help schools to develop the facilities and resources to make teaching and learning outside the classroom more accessible, attractive, and effective - in a way that is both affordable and sustainable. Our aim is to help schools provide a wonderful and stimulating outdoor learning environment that can readily be used to teach many aspects of the curriculum, as well as promoting personal well-being and social development.
